È già passato un anno dal terribile terremoto del 29 maggio 2012. In molti hanno ricordato il 20 maggio, ma il 29 è stato forse più devastante… devastante anche per gli animi! Dopo il 20 maggio si pensava di aver già pagato il proprio ‘tributo’ al fato, alla sfortuna, alla sorte o in qualsiasi altro modo si voglia chiamare. Il 29 ha risvegliato tutti di colpo, come se fossero una serie di atti terroristici… «Non puoi stare tranquillo… mai!» Per questo è impossibile – per chi abbia vissuto il terremoto – dimenticare. Ho chiesto a fingerpicking.net di caricare questo brano oggi, perché nelle notti che seguiranno sarà passato un anno da quando l’ho scritto. E il titolo non dice che i Castelli sono più importanti delle case o delle persone… ma vedere crollare un Castello, una Rocca, una Chiesa, una Scuola… dà ancor di più il senso dell’impotenza dell’uomo. Quando i simboli di un paesino crollano, la comunità perde dei riferimenti e di questo ho voluto raccontare. “When the Castles Crumbled” ‘racconta’ questo.
